Prenatal and Postnatal Services

Pregnancy brings with it unique physical and emotional challenges to a woman’s health and well-being. So in order for an expectant mother and her baby to thrive, active and consistent self-care is essential.

 

Numerous studies have shown that massage therapy and exercise during pregnancy can reduce depression and anxiety, relieve back and leg pain, lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels in the mother and baby, increase confidence, decrease the chances of premature birth, reduce the risk of postpartum depression and even shorten the time spent in labor during childbirth.

 

At On Your Mark NYC, we recognize that each pregnancy affects women in both universal and individual ways. So our goal is to provide customized pre and postnatal massage, exercise and nutrition services to help and empower each woman to meet her specific needs throughout her entire pregnancy.

 

On Your Mark offers the following services for expectant and new mothers:

  • Prenatal and Postnatal Personal Training

  • Prenatal and Postnatal Nutrition and Wellness Counseling

All of our prenatal and postnatal services are provided by licensed and certified experts in their fields with many years experience working with prenatal and postnatal populations.  They will communicate as needed with your OBGYN to ensure that their services are safe, appropriate, effective and complementary to you and your physician’s health plan for the length of your pregnancy and beyond.

I worked out with Mark throughout my entire pregnancy. I knew halfway through the first session he was going to be a perfect trainer for me. In addition to ensuring I got a great workout, he was very particular about my form and extremely knowledgable when it came to putting together a program tailored exactly to my body's past injuries and prenatal challenges. As both a massage therapist and a personal trainer, he is many steps above so many other trainers due to his education in both fields. His light stretches and pressure point work after a challenging workout makes for a great end to the session. I highly recommend Mark whether you are pregnant or not!!!
